Summer Fete July 2019

A lovely afternoon of sunshine was enjoyed by all. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported. We raised an incredible £1268.96. A fond farewell was expressed to some of the teachers by splatting them with sponges filled with cold water! Some of the children enjoyed a quiet storytime in a magically themed tent. Lots of other activities and stalls to keep everyone entertained. We'd like to reach out to the parents who came along and helped for the first time, we'd love to see you again at our next event.

Bunny Bounce
Our annual Bunny Bounce raised a total of £2093.62! A magnificent amount! Thank you to all the parents, carers and families who sponsored the children. They all had a lovely time and lots of bouncing was counted. As this is one of our main fundraisers of the year, we anticipate this money will be going towards the coaches grant we give each year. Thank you all again for your continued support.

Easter Bingo

Thank you to everyone who attended and/or donated towards the Easter Bingo, we raised the amazing amount of £859.29 and a fab night of fun and prizes to boot! We'd also like to say a huge thank you to those who donated all the lovely raffle prizes, these really did help boost our profit. With the profit we gave each class a lovely hamper of goodies each smiley

Reading Den

We are raising money to build a Reading Den for Key Stage 1. The Den will be a cosy space where children can pick a book or two and curl up with a book over break-time and lunch time.

This will be particularly useful for children who find it difficult to interact with books in the classroom or even at home.

You can support this project by donating money through our Crowd funder on Just Giving.

The Reading Den project is part of the overall strategy to improve Reading at the school.

Friends at Christmas

Parent volunteers from the Friends, provided a day of Christmas Crafts for the children to enjoy, whilst making items to be sold at 'The Made in Roundhill Stall' at the Christmas Fayre. They made candy cane reindeer, glitter fir cone baubles, lollipop reindeer and bobble hat baubles. Thank you to the children for their creative flair. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who gave up their time to help.

We'd like to thank everyone for attending our Christmas Fayre, we raised the huge amount of £1610.92. So far this has enabled us to purchase a portable PA system for use in the playground, for scooting sessions and to be used at school events! More updates to follow....

Christmas Sing-a-long raised £92.31, thank you for your support at an enjoyable evening.

Friends of Roundhill are a group of parents, staff and other interested parties who volunteer to organise fundraising events to pay for extra projects and equipment that benefit the whole school and help build a strong school community.  Last year funds raised were used to help pay for coaches for school trips, library books, and the year 6 school leavers disco amongst other things. Thanks to the generosity of families and friends, we raise funds from a variety of events throughout the year.

We meet once a month in a friendly, informal atmosphere, please check our calendar at the top of the page for the next meeting. Young children are welcome and tea, coffee and biscuits are served!  It's a great way to get involved in the life of the school and make new friends

We are always keen to welcome new members, whether you have fundraising ideas or are just willing to get involved.  You do not need any special skills, just lots of enthusiasm!  If you can't attend the meetings, there are a number of ways you can help and get involved - from designing posters to providing contacts for raffle prizes and helping out at events.

If you would like to find out more about the group, please come along to a meeting or contact us on the e-mail address below, we would love to hear from you!
