"Hello! We are Mrs Laite and Mrs Rees and we are the reading assistants here at school. Alongside helping with the library we have been working hard to implement a brand new reading scheme called the Accelerated Reader Programme. Each student has a reading level based upon an assessment they have completed here in school. So far all children in years 3 -6 have been given a book from our brand new collection. When they have finished their book they take a short quiz on an Ipad in school and work their way through the levelled books, gaining points and earning rewards! The children have all shown great interest in the new scheme and are finishing books and taking quizzes already. We will be supporting all the students with the new scheme and also reading with some children individually. It is a very exciting time! We are very happy to answer any questions and the children know where to find us!"
