Friends of Roundhill

Friends of Roundhill are a group of parents, staff and other interested parties who volunteer to organise fundraising events to pay for extra projects and equipment that benefit the whole school and help build a strong school community.  In previous years, funds that were raised were used to help pay for coaches for school trips, library books, year 6 school leavers disco and many other things.  Thanks to the generosity of families and friends, we raise funds from a variety of events throughout the year.

We meet once a month in a friendly, informal atmosphere, please check our calendar at the top of the page for the next meeting.  Young children are welcome and tea, coffee and biscuits are served!  It's a great way to get involved in the life of the school and make new friends.

We are always keen to welcome new members, whether you have fundraising ideas or are just willing to get involved.  You do not need any special skills, just lots of enthusiasm!  If you can't attend the meetings, there are a number of other ways you can help and get involved - from designing posters to providing contacts for raffle prizes and helping out at events.

If you would like to find out more about the group, please come along to a meeting or contact us on the e-mail address below, we would love to hear from you! e: roundhillroundup@gmail.com

Reading Den

We are raising money to build a Reading Den for Key Stage 1. The Den will be a cosy space where children can pick a book or two and curl up with a book over break-time and lunch time.

This will be particularly useful for children who find it difficult to interact with books in the classroom or even at home.

You can support this project by donating money through our Crowd funder on Just Giving.

The Reading Den project is part of the overall strategy to improve Reading at the school.
